Counseling and Nutrition

"Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food" Hippocrates

Counseling and nutrition go hand in hand because the food you eat may affect your emotions causing excess angry feelings.  Changing the diet of processed foods can change your moods, improve blood flow which improves oxygen level so you think and relate better to others.

Good nutrition can only be achieved by choosing to change eating habits. Scientific research confirms that eating vegan is best which means consuming all kinds of fruits, vegetables, beans, legumes, nuts, seeds and grains.

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will involve the patients in the proper use of food, fresh air, and exercise". Thomas Edison

It has been my privilege to teach Vegan cooking continuing education classes for St. Clair College in Chatham, Fanshawe College in London, PUC in London, and the Catholic School Board in Whitby.  Helen is a trained Vegetarian Nutrition Instructor with 20 years experience and has completed Food Handler Certification in 2011. Her educational classes will jump start your choice to enjoy a new way of thinking, eating and living. You will enjoy tasting new food combinations. Numerous allergies with specialized diets are taken into consideration. Did you know that those waiting for dialysis do better when on a low protein diet? Cookbooks and other resource materials will be available.

My classes consist of 10 or less and I will teach a class privately. This year I wrote my first vegan cookbook entitled, "Vegetarian Cooking Today". My co-author is Linda Butt and the book is available online at Xlibris.com.
